Wisdom of learning
Resources for reconnecting to wisdom and wellbeing
Susie has developed a number of resources to support emotional health and holistic practices in leadership and health care that you are welcome to use for the benefit of others.
Extensive experience in leadership and health as inspired her creativity, which includes co-authoring of the Mastering Emotional Health app, the Happy Tap video and various Therapeutic Touch resources.
Mastering Emotional Health app
Susie and her Danish colleague Bente Boe, both Fellows of the Global Leadership Foundation, have developed the Mastering Emotional Health app for those who want to grow their emotional health as leaders, health professionals or simply to improve their own wellbeing. The app draws on the power of intent and holistic practices of mindfulness, Quantum Think® and emotional health. It offers practical reflections and meditations that tap into your inner wisdom to recreate a more joyful way of leading and living.
Our Mastering Emotional Health app takes you on a journey consisting of 21 ways to master emotional health and enhance your wellbeing for leadership and life. Each of the 21 sessions includes an introduction and illustration, plus a meditation and recreation that, if you practise what you learn, will enhance your progress towards Mastering Emotional Health. Trial the app, or read more.
Happy Tap video
When you are feeling wired and jumpy and you want to ‘settle your brains’, use Happy Tap. This simple calming procedure may benefit your emotional health and clear thinking, and enable you to support others more effectively.
Therapeutic Touch resources
Power in Your Hands: an overview of Therapeutic Touch
Therapeutic touch has supported the development of a culture where people walk in the door and say, ‘Something is different. There is something special here’. The people in this video share stories of how therapeutic touch has touched their lives. Made some 20 years ago, the video has stood the test of time in introducing health professionals to the evidence based, holistic practice of therapeutic touch for the elderly and those in pain or who are dying.
Therapeutic Touch in Aged Care
This early training video features interviews with staff and patients in a residential aged-care setting as they share their experiences of reduction in pain, improved sleep and calm. It will be relevant for staff and volunteers in aged-care settings, for use in staff education, as a reference for people learning therapeutic touch and as a resource for therapeutic touch teachers.
Being on Centre (audio files)
Being on centre is the cornerstone of therapeutic touch. It is the process of quietening the mind and becoming still within. The following audio files (in MP3 format) were originally published on a CD entitled Being on Centre. They are now available as free downloads. Simply right-click on any link and choose to save the linked file. These tracks will support you with skills to see the beauty and wholeness in both yourself and others, and to touch the world with compassion.
